Scorrier

Following our work at North Coast Holiday Cottages in Portreath, we were retained by the same clients to advise on a further site in Scorrier.

Our initial appointment involved securing a Certificate of Lawfulness for the existing use of an outbuilding as an independent holiday let, which was approved in 2017.

Later that year, we submitted a planning application to extend the original building and create a four-bedroom detached dwelling, with the existing holiday unit incorporated as a garage. Although the application was initially refused by the local planning authority, the decision was successfully overturned at appeal in 2018.

A further application was submitted and approved in 2019, allowing the original unit to be retained as a separate, self-contained building.
